SS Beachboy Cruise - Here We Come!!!
EEEEEEEE!! I can't even contain myself! Today was the registration day for the cruise in March 2016 to JAMAICA AND HAITI!! I know I know, it's over a YEAR away LOL but as we all know time FLIES and now we have a free vacation to look forward to!
Hold on. Free?
YES FREEEEEE! Okay, not quite. But as long as I work my job and actually HELP people lose weight and get healthy then YES this baby is FREE! As a coach it's my (dream) JOB to help people get in shape and be the best version of themselves. As long as I consistently help 5 people a month then this vacation is free (they'll let me know at the end of the year how much, if not all, of the cruise is paid for by them).
AS IF I didn't have enough motivation and fun helping people get in shape but NOW there's this?!?! Holy moly, I don't know why EVERYONE isn't a beachbody coach. Friendship, FUN, fitness, financial freedom, and now free vacations!! (Is it just me or did all of those start with the letter "F"?)
AHHH. More to come!!! Talk soon loves <3

How To Improve Your Environment
Have you ever had days where you just feel BLAH and don't want to get out of bed? Me too. It usually happens on days when the dishes are piled up (we don't have a dishwasher), the bed isn't made, and the house feels dirty. It's hard to feel motivated to do anything productive when your environment is sucking energy out of you! Surprisingly, environment has a bigger impact on people than most would imagine. Most psychologists agree that when your house is messy, your head is messy. Have you ever heard the expression "Messy bed, messy head." It's true! Getting your house/bedroom/environment in order can help greatly with your productivity and your overall happiness. Your world is malleable - and what you make of it can change your motivation greatly.
There are several key areas in life. They are:
As you can see, environment is 1 of only 6! If everything else is running perfectly (and who are we kidding, those aren't perfect) your environment is missing out on 15% productivity. That missed productivity will translate into more stress which will spill over into your career, your family, your friendships, everything!
So, now that you're (hopefully) convinced of the importance of a good environment here are some of my fail-proof tips for when I'm feeling blah.
Start with the basics:
1. If the bed isn't made, make it!
2. Do any dishes that need to be done
3. Do a 10 minute tidy for the general areas of the house, clear clutter, etc
More detailed:
1. Get plants! You should have at least 3-5 natural & real plants in your house depending on your home size
2. Clean it! Dust, mop, vaccume, you know the drill! I know it's not exciting, or any fun at all, but this will make you feel 10x better when you're finished! Spending just an hour cleaning will give you hours back in productivity.
Do you have any money for the home?
1. Paint! Depending on how much time and budget you have available to you, my favourite thing to do to spruce up a sad spirit is to paint! Nothing looks better than a fresh coat of stylish paint, and this is the cheapest, fastest way to make an EXTREME difference in your home.
2. Get some cute accents! Have you heard of HomeGoods? It's a DREAMLAND! It's basically the cutest stuff possible for your home but at a great price! Imagine a clearance sale at designer stores and all under ONE ROOF! Try getting some fake orchids, some decorative pieces (think chrome elephants, picture frames, decor boxes etc.) $100 will go a LONG way there and you won't regret any of the special pieces you find.
Notice the accent pieces? Imagine that same room without the throw blanket, the roses on the coffee table, and NO basket of wood by the fireplace. It wouldn't be the same would it?
The little details in your home will give it such a facelift! Set a small budget and you'll be amazed at how much better you feel in your home. PS aren't those living rooms to die for?!?!?
There are several key areas in life. They are:
- Relationships
- Health
- Career
- Finances
- Spirituality
- Environment

How To Go From Failure To A Success Story
I learned something really incredible when I saw Darren Hardy, author of the compound effect, speak in Vegas for Summit 2014. Try to think of it this way... life is like a pendulum. On one side of the pendulum theres failure, rejection, defeat, pain, sadness... things that we try to avoid. On the other side of the pendulum is success, acceptance, joy, victory, accomplishment... things we want more of!
If you just stand still in life, you won't experience much pain, sadness, and failure. But you ALSO won't experience any success, joy, happiness and wealth. What most people do is they go along safely and develop a "comfort zone."
People are willing to experience only a certain amount of fear/rejection/failure, and as a result of that they only experience so much success/joy/victory because the whole thing is working on a pendulum. The one thing that you can't control is the success that you pursue. You can't pursue success, it's like chasing butterflies. But the one thing you can control is the amount of failure that you get. With life being a pendulum, the key to success is to push the pendulum as FAR back into the failure side as possible, and it will have NO choice but to swing JUST as far into success and happiness. Creating a bigger "zone" to experience.
You see, you can't experience MASSIVE SUCCESS with going for MASSIVE FAILURE. Have you heard of the book "Go For No"? It's a book about how you need to start increasing your failure rate and "go for no" instead of yes! Once you start accepting failure as the KEY to success, you'll be less afraid of "No." Once you increase the amount of "No's" you get, guess what?! You'll ALSO increase the amount of Yes's you get! You have to swing the pendulum farrrrr back, in order for it to rebound and swing farrrr into success. There is no great success story without failure. Stephen King's first novel was rejected 30 times. Oprah Winfrey was fired from her first talk-show job. Thomas Edison failed 1000 times before he created the lightbulb and said "I have not failed, I've just discovered 10,000 ways that don't work." Vincent Van Gogh only sold 1 painting in his life time. Simon Cowell had a failed record company. Steven Spielberg was rejected from USC, twice. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. Do you see it? There can be NO success without failure. Every overnight success story you see has actually put in years of hard work, and experienced every kind of failure, setback, and rejection one can think of. What makes them different and takes that person to the top is the fact that they didn't stop. They never gave up. Despite the rejection and heartache, they kept moving forward because that pendulum WILL swing into success if you embrace failure and go BIG.
Massive failure, equals massive success! If you want, write down 3 things you've been avoiding to do because you're afraid of failing. Now ask yourself, what are the potential rewards if you go for it regardless of your fear. Is it worth it? Is it worth swinging the pendulum back into failure, pain, & disappointment if it means you would accomplish your dreams and experience happiness, wealth, and success?
Yes. Now go do it!

5 Tips for Productivity
1. Wake up REALLY early
And yes, I mean really early. Try waking up at 5AM and powering through some of the items on your to-do list. I tried waking up at 5 this morning (ended up waking up at 7 but hey, progress not perfection) and I noticed I felt more productive. There was less distractions, and I felt I was off to a good start.
2. Get dressed
There's something about staying in yoga pants all day that just screams "turn on the TV!" and "let's work from bed today." Am I right? Or am I right. It's hard to get into work mode when you've barely changed out of your pyjamas, so try showering and put on some jeans and cute top. You'll feel ready for the day and be less likely to lounge. I know, I know, wearing yoga's is the greatest part of working from home! But if you're not actually working, then you're losing the benefits of both because sooooon, you'll have to go back to that 9-5 job and wear a business casual suit, ew.
3. Set business hours
I am THE worst at this! Somedays I tell myself I'll start at 10, some days at 2, somedays it just never even happens. (Yikes, I need some serious discipline). If you set business hours for yourself and work to maintain discipline during them, you'll be more focused knowing you have an official "off time." Another reason, having business hours for yourself will help you to treat your business like a business. This is SO crucial if you work from home. What if you treated your home biz like you invested $50,000 into it? Chances are, you'd invest more time and effort into it and be much further ahead by now. So, start today. Set business hours and take it seriously!
4. Take mini breaks
Writers block, creativity lack, stiff neck - it all happens. Every couple of hours take 5-15 minutes tot step away from the computer and relax. Have some tea, stretch, read fiction, take your fur baby on a walk! And if you don't have a fur baby, take YOURSELF on a walk! You'll be glad you did.
5. Do more than what's expected
Have you ever heard the quote by Zig Ziglar "When you do more than you get paid for, eventually you'll be paid for more than what you do." Work hard now, and your business will build momentum. Eventually, you'll be able to work half as many hours but get paid multiples of what you're making now. It's called "Big-Mo" (from The Compound Effect). If you work hard now and do more than what's expected, big mo will kick in and take over. 1% of people do this take their life and business to that level. Be the 1%!

Legally Blonde & Legally Ambitious
Hi my loves!! Today I was flipping through the channels and immediately stopped when I saw "Legally Blonde" was on TV. I happened to land on it during one the most fabulous scenes of all time.
No explanation necessary ;) You know what scene I'm talking about now and hopefully you agree that it IS the most monumental scene in that movie (although there are numerous others that come close!)
I mean seriously... here's a girl who HAS it ALL!
She has an incredible body! Not a stick figure... ex. "Booke Windham's workout tapes helped me go from a size 6 to a size 4!" Love it!!! I LOVE the proud size 4 in this movie! And her HAIR! I mean seriously, how can a bottle blonde have hair that healthy?! It's so naturally beautiful and full of life!
And perhaps most incredibly - a POWERFUL mind. I mean seriously. She got into Harvard! She set her mind to it and made it happen despite everything going against her.
Elle: I don't need back-ups. I'm going to Harvard.
Advisor: Well then, you'll need excellent recommendations from your professors.
Elle: Okay.
Advisor: And a heck of an admissions essay.
Elle: Right.
Advisor: And at least a 175 on your LSATs.
Elle: I once had to judge a tighty-whitey contest for Lambda Kappa Pi. Trust me, I can handle anything.
I feel myself slightly obsessing over her right now. If Elle can do, so can I! There's nothing holding me back from making my dreams a reality. Right now, I'm in the beginning stages of building my business and in all honesty - I've experienced MAJOR road bumps! Who hasn't though. I've had coaches change their mind and quit, customers tell me they want the fitness doll challenge then back out, and it's discouraging! Rejection and failure is hard. REALLY hard. Luckily, I've learned a lot from my personal development - and an important key to success is perseverance and consistency. Even though Elle's goal was a lot different than mine it still gives me hope that people can do whatever they set out to do. We just need to go for it! Go all in. Commit 100%. Wait no, commit 1000%. If Elle Woods can get into Harvard then I can reach 15 Star Diamond.
If you want to lose weight, you can do it! If you want to get into an Ivy-league university, you can do it! If you want to improve your relationship with ANYBODY, you CAN do it! Whatever it is your goal may be, you can make it happen.
Perseverance in the face of failure. Consistency even when it means sacrifice.
Warner Huntington III: You got into Harvard Law?
Elle: What? Like it's hard?

My FiloFax Quest & Obsession
Observe... incredibly cute notebook looking binder thingy.
Open up &... voila!! An organized, scrapbooked, day planner FULL of cuteness.
Okay, am I the only one thinking this will seriously improve my organization in life? Because I seriously think that if I can turn organizing my day into a decorating event - it'll be enjoyable to plan, refer back to, and cross those baby's off my list!! Basically, Filofax is a brand... kind of like Kleenex. And there are other "binder planners" or "tissues" but most people refer to ALL binder planners as a filofax, just like most people call all tissues Kleenex! I'm currently eyeing the Kikki.k Large planner which is the same as the A5 Original Filofax. A5 is the size, and it's the largest available in the "FiloFax" style.
Isn't she beautiful?!
It turns out there's a HUGE world of filofaxing. People are avidly decorating their planners and sharing it with groups on facbeook, instagram etc. I've also found countless boards on pinterest, blogs devoted to this, and SO many "filofaxers" across the world! (The Kikki.k is from the UK)
I know this is not normal content that I post about but it's really been at the forefront of my mind lately and I am DEF getting one. I've already started getting my washi tape collection together. ;)

How to Win at Life
The #1 cause of failure is excuses. Have you ever heard that before? I have... but not in the context that it was presented to me today. I've always wanted to become the "do what it takes... get it done" kind of girl. I always told myself things like I don't have time, I'm too stressed out, maybe next month, next week, or tomorrow etc. Well, it's time that we as a society, and I, master the art of FINDING A WAY instead of finding an excuse.
The first step to to this... yep you've guessed it - get over your excuses. Don't settle for less in a comfort zone that really ISN'T that comfortable.
-- Excuses lead to frustration and failures, failures lead to an unhappy life and a big fat rut.
-- Excuses stop us from becoming who we want to become.
It's time. The time is right now. Do something extraordinary, and do something drastic. Whether you want to start a business, lose weight, find an incredible relationship, connect with God, get out of debt, WHATEVER it is... you can do it.
Find a way to make it happen. Give it your best shot, because your best is good enough.

How to Increase Your Success Ratio ;)
Since adjusting to being MY own BOSS, I've really had to understand a few things.
1. Without risk, there can be no success.
2. The more you fail, the more you succeed.
3. No one can create success for you.
The first time I heard this expression things just CLICKED for me. I hope it does the same for you! Whatever your GOALS may be - treat them seriously and you will be REWARDED seriously.
To sum it up, if you want to increase the rate that you succeed, you've GOT to increase the rate that you fail! Do NOT be afraid of failure. Embrace it. Get cozy with trial and error and keep moving forward!!
MOST IMPORTANTLY...
Love ya!

Hey sweeties! Since becoming my own boss the biggest thing I've had to work on is TIME MANAGEMENT. The only way to improve on time management is to... MANAGE IT! haha, clever right? jk ;)
So, I've been doing some looking around to try and find a planner that allows me to schedule EVERYTHING in, and I mean everything. Luckily, I found this gem in one of our facebook groups "The Bombshell Dynasty!"
I've started using this to schedule in my workouts, business hours, reading time (and which book I'll read) and I have to say - it feels fantastic! Print this out, give it a try & see how you feel!

Never Give Up
"Never Give Up"
I feel like this saying represents SO many of us & for good reason! There are multiple setbacks in life - whether it's in your personal life, relationships, health journey, career etc. It doesn't matter WHAT it is, chances are you've experienced disappointment.
There have been times in the past when I wanted to throw in the towel when it came to losing weight and I would tell myself "I'm not even seeing results!" and then 2 weeks later I would compare my photos and say to myself "WOW. Thank gosh I didn't stop."
If you've read the Compound Effect, you'll know ALL about the "Merry Go-Round" or the "Water Pump" analogy. We're working and working, pumping the water and nothings coming up - nothings happening! But the truth is, all the water is being sucked up from underground and it needs to build pressure first. Then seemingly like magic, right before you think NOTHING is gonna happen, water starts pouring out generously.
That principle applies to everything in life - just when you think you're not going anywhere... you're actually on the BRINK of a breakthrough. So, if you're at a plateau with weightless - keep going! You're soooo close. Or if you're close to giving up on a career related goal - keep going! You'll be noticed soon. You're life WILL CHANGE if you can understand the importance of persistence. Keep going!

The Importance of a Vision Board
Have you heard the expression "What you think about, you bring about" ? I know I sure have! The first time I heard that expression I was reading the book "The Secret" (If you haven't read it - you must!!) and it really hit home with me. That was when I first started to understand the power of our thoughts. Since then I've become a total believer in positive thinking and affirmations. Although I still have a lot to learn and I'm FAR from an expert, it's something I'm continually working to get better at!
Hopefully you've heard about Vision Boards at some point in your life. I know Oprah Winfrey is a HUGE fan of them, and you can even make a virtual vision board on her website (oprahwinfrey.com). I like to have my vision boards in real life so that I can have an actual hard copy and allow myself to express creatively while I'm making it.
I seriously encourage everyone to try making one. There's no secret way to make it, you just gotta start! Print pictures of things you've always wanted, goals you have, and places you'd like to go. From there your mind will start to get creative and come up with other ideas of pictures to put on it.
Making a Vision Board is important to:
1. Identify your vision and give it clarity
2. Reinforce your daily affirmations
3. Keep your attention on your intentions

Positivity
Positivity.
It’s time for a new mantra, because your OLD ones haven’t been cutting it! Words have POWER. If you let them, your words can defeat you before you even begin! I want you to WRITE DOWN three negative, self-defeating things you have said to yourself that have held you back in the past. Take a good, long look at these limitations. Where did they come from?
Now, write the OPPOSITE, POSITIVE affirmation on three sticky notes, and post them in the places you visit most frequently -- your house, car or office. EVERY time you see these phrases throughout your day, I want you to say them to yourself OUT LOUD! This time, the POWER of your positive words will sink in and PROVE you RIGHT. From now on, don’t you DARE say anything to yourself that you WOULDN’T say to someone that you love.
5 Daily Activities For A Happy Life
As most of you know, being happy is much more than just deciding to smile and BEING a happy a person (although that DOES play a big role)
Being happy requires mental, physical and emotional steps in the right direction to actually LIVE a healthy life.
1. Read more books
I know reading isn't exactly "popular" these days, but do it! Whether you're reading fiction, personal development, science, autobiographies etc. It doesn't matter exactly what you read, but studies say that reading for 10 minutes a day relaxes your mind and sharpens it at the same time. PLUS, it's proven that reading more makes you a better write & speaker! yayyyy
2. Workout
Sharpening the saw of the body is SO important. Working out keeps you more alert throughout the day, not to mention all of the health benefits of it. Doctors say that it actually increases your productivity by 30%. A one hour workout is 4% of your day, meaning you get an net increase of 26% time and productivity .So when people ask "How do you have time to workout?!" as Zig Ziglar says "I don't have time NOT to workout"
3. Pray or Meditiate
Now depending on what religion you believe in - you should pray, meditate, or visualize EVERY day! Connecting with your God or higher power is so helpful when dealing with the daily stress of life. Knowing we have a source other than ourself who's looking out for us and has a "big picture" plan helps us stay sane when dealing with pesky difficulties that cross our paths.
4. Drink Water
Did you know that when you're stressed your body actually burns up the water inside of you? Probably not. I didn't know that either until my old yoga teacher taught me about that! So, even when our day to day life isn't making us rip our hair out, we're still navigating daily choices, decisions, and busy thoughts throughout the day that use up our water stores. Imagine being EXTRA stressed on top of that -- it happens to all of us!! Drink up ladies! PS. Next time you feel really stressed out, sick, or overwhelmed, chug a glass of water. I promise it'll make you feel a bit better right away :)
5. Speak positively
We all know that "Thoughts becomes things" and "What you think about, you bring about" and "Whether you think you can, or think you can't - either way you are right"
Basically what I'm trying to say here is - you can't live a positive life if you're living negative thoughts! "Perception is reality.." Seriously I could go on and on about the important of positive thinking. This will CHANGE your life! Tomorrow morning when you wake up, tell yourself this "I am going to have a great day, thank you for the freedom to choose how my day goes and for blessing me with another day of opportunity! I am a genius and I apply my wisdom. I am happy, healthy, and wealthy and I positively impact the lives of those around me." Try it! See how you feel & how you day goes!

My Personal Development Fav's & Currents
Hey girls! The last few months of my life I've been completely OBSESSED with personal development books & for good reason! I learn of the important form being a beachbody coach and call me crazy but... I swear this is better than a college degree!! I know I know, crazy right?! But seriously. When you're in the business that I'm in, it is SO life changing. My very firs personal development book was "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" by Sean Covey. I got it for a birthday gift when I was 13, and I was actually REALLY excited about it! I never even knew there was "self-help" books out there until I got that book, and it completely gave me an edge. That year in school I felt like I had a "leg up" on my school mates (I know ;) ... competition is stiff in grade 7 LOL). But in all seriousness, I loved it! Reaidng about how to better myself felt like I finally had access to the manual of LIFE! Amazing, right?! After that I got "The 6 most important decisions teens will make" which I also loved, and also by Sean Covey.
Fast forward throughout high school and I totally stopped my self-help time! I got wrapped up in school, activities, friends, and the attempt to stay sane. Little did I know that staying on the personal development path would've been the KEY to staying sane.. but oh well! Nothing I can change about that now, can only do better in the future! SO, last summer after first being exposed to beachbody I purchased "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy from Amazon and WOW!!! Have you read it yet?!?!? Please do yourself a favour and read this!! That was the beginning to a long and exciting road of what is now my "Life-long journey to bettering myself!"
I have to say, Personal Development is the best money you can spend on yourself. Trust me when I say every dollar you invest into this will come back to you TENFOLD!!
Here's a list of books I've read and LOVED! Pretty much every PD book I've read will be on here and thats because they are all REMARKABLE! But... if one wasn't great I wouldn't put it here so trust this list, grab your reading glasses, and get going on your goals!
As of right now I have two books on the go that I really encourage you to read as well!!
I picked up the first one a couple weeks ago - "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.
I've always struggled with understanding and having faith in God, despite my desire for a close relationship with Him. I can honestly say that after only being on day 9 of this book I already feel such a change! I'm starting to understand what it means to live a life in God's name and to love him first. If you're trying to get closer to Him, and understand your purpose on Earth please read this one!! Major turn-around for all christians or christians in training.
My other current read is "Commit to Win" by Heidi Reeder. I'm REALLY excited about this book! I'm only on chapter 2 but the gears in my head are already getting in motion. As most of us know from setting our NYE goals on the back burner, motivation and willpower eventually run out, right?! This book addressed the other piece of the puzzle - COMMITMENT! I'm so excited to learn a new twist on staying accountable to goals since I've been feeling "low-motivation" for those lately.
I'll keep updating my list as time goes on, and for now I hope you enjoy these current reads!
